DuC at the Mayhem LAN (25 Apr 09)

I think there were 9-10 teams registered for the comp. so they went with a double-elim structure. The final results table isn't available yet, will edit it in when they upload it.

Sigh, I was having kak network issues in the morning (randomly dropping during DotA, the copying was going fine though ). 1st time round we re'd after 15-20 mins after I dropped. Than I dropped again, 24 mins in, but the teamies were on the way to wrapping things up so they carried on 4v5.

Luna wasn't ganging at all for them, which made it a lot easier for us early game. tidy had a rough time bot with the double spam.

I see DK didn't bring it either this game. :/

Comment:
The beginning had an epic ruin-battle, with Edge netting two kills before heading to his lane.

My cs was shocking this game as I did a fair amount of ganging. Than later on that darn slar kept focusing me with his ulti. >_<

riki/Necro evetually went to bot lane after having a hard time against slar/lich top - which net'd a double kill for Lich, as I didn't know he was lvl 6 already. X_x lol

SF managed to get lothars but nothing else. Not sure how imba his lane farming was, but his k/d was painful.

Axe rushed a blink, so that had me a lil worried. Also their lich played really well.

Knowing how hard they kicked our asses at the MSSA Gauteng LAN, prev known as PRASK, we opted for a push strat.

This match'll always be the "what if" game, as we initially were about to rax mid when 4 of DuC's PC's froze from a memory-error when cm did her ulti (21 mins in). And with no1 saving, we were forced to restart the game. X_x

Now with T_T knowing that we were going for a lvl 1 rosh, we were on the back foot and had a tough time from the get go.

Totoro's riki got a lot more imba this time round - which spelt G_G. :/

Was a lil disappointed that Edge didn't spam howl as much as he could have.

On a side note, being asian, their -apm was off the charts. lol >_<

Was a fun game, which had it's moments. ^_^

With Edge's PC suffering a 'bsod' we had to load the save... yes, we did save once in a while. Hence no replay.

These guyz were very cool to play against, sporting a great attitude and sportmanship.

They initially bushed the naix but after shau and I ganged him dead, he perma laned bot.

Was surprised with their viper pick, haven't seen him in a clannie in ages.

With most of their charz having no real items to speak of, it was pretty one-sided - I think.

Wow! MILF played incredibly well this game - didn't help that we underestimated them with a Necro'lic pick. :/

Top lane was rough, with kak communication between shau and I - was really surprised at how well their sven-lesh lane worked. Hated that we had "spectators" standing behind us, who kept on chirping about everything. X_x Made it hard to hear eachother to boot. :/

MILF's lanaya and Axe were top class.

I would like to say that there was a point where it looked like we could have brought it back but they always had us in team-battles. I kept feeding lanaya too, with her inviz/+200 damage combo. :/

The guyz were saying we played kak, but you can't take anything away from MILF's effort.

And that defeat saw us ending in 4th place. With MILF taking 3rd, FT only 2nd (losing twice to T_T) and T_T 1st.

This game was played pretty late in the evening. With Demon leaving around 18:30, Legionnaire subbed for us. ^_^

Seeing as it took forever to get Legionnaire's PC set up, the MILF boyz got pretty fed up - opting to "smurf". >_<

MILF play a mean Sniper, so I wasn't surprised by that pick. Haven't played against a chen in a long time, so wasn't looking forward to that.

kudos to Legionnaire for a wp'd potm, hitting some imba arrows.

Unlike the prev chen's I've seen, this dude sent his nuet-posse without an escort - no idea where chen was, always only found the nuet-posse. lol >_<

I thought their DK was a lil disappointing, going for a... X_x ...build, and seeming to never be in his ulti form.

Was a great game to win, now if only Demon didn't "throw" our tourney game agaist them. >_<
