I think the Logo itself is great. Just needs some changes so that it fits in with the site a bit better. Maybe make the brownish background transparent so you just see the gold parts.

Though i know that transpanrency does give problems on some browsers, as png format isn't actually supported by IE. Typical microsoft.

yeah you don't get transparent on the web as far as i know. but i will try deep etching it and see what it looks like.

yeah this is gonna be tricky. i can deep etch it but the grey bar has a gradient so will require some muhnipulatin.

u can get the gradient out of the website, that should give you something to work with though. I had to do that before... what a pain. Though i like working in photoshop, for me it is the best graphical manip program

that was my intention but it means i will have to go back into the original psd and do some creative fixing...

PNG works pretty well with transparency on websites. Slyd3rs logo was PNG and that worked fine with transparency.

If PNG really is gonna be a problem then you can also save it as a Gif with transparent background (although you will have less colours at your disposal it could also work.

Have a look at the transparency on Sly's sig as well (also PNG). I've tested it in Firefox and IE and works fine unless you using some dinosaur version.

duh being stoopid today (partly due to my mental block against web design). i'll play around with that and do you multiple formats including gif. i once sent a png to a web designer and he couldn't use it.

and don't mock my browser - WorldWideWeb is awesome.

Though web design with all its little querks are what keeps it interesting.
Otherwise it would just be plain and boring again.
